Tomato Lycopene SPF 20 Moisturizer
Great product but might not be for me
I really wanted this moisturizer to be my holy grail but after using almost the entire bottle over the summer I'm thinking I might have to try something else. It feels great and dries quickly which is also the downfall. If you don't rub it in quickly, it does leave more white residue visible. I don't think this is much of a bad point in all consideration. It smells nice and is not greasy. But I have had much trouble trying to wear make-up OVER the moisturizer. I've tried the 2nd Skin Foundation, a Glossier foundation, and the Cream Foundation. They all just seem to make the moisturizer underneath pill. There has been a few times where it did not pill but I think that's from my rubbing additional oil or something on my face after the spf which... probably doesn't help efficacy. If they can fix the pilling, I would love to stick with it but for now I shall be searching for something new.
Great texture but not much protection
Overall this is the first and only natural sunscreen I've liked using. It doesn't make me greasy and goes on pretty smoothly. I haven't noticed it affect my makeup in any way. I do wish it was a higher level of SPF. I definitely wouldn't use this on a day when you're planning to be in full sun, but it's okay to cover me on my morning bike commute.
Have been looking for a sunscreen that does not irritate my sensitive skin, and I actually am not having any problems with this sunscreen. It’s surprisingly light, does not get greasy, and leaves much less of a white hue than other sunscreens. Definitely a keeper!
Love a natural sunscreen
Goes on smooth!
If dark skinned/brown skinned take note
I was super excited but as I’m brown skinned it was hard to make the product disappear into my skin - I was left with a white sheen I think due to the spf. I bought the product because it had spf ... ironically
Hi there! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and we're sorry to hear that the SPF moisturizer didn't work out for you. Luckily, you may return it for a full refund if it's still within the 45-day return window. Also, our SPF does tend to leave a white cast since we use non-nano particles. Our titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are non-nano particles so it doesn't penetrate into the skin and it just sits on the surface. We prefer non-nano particles, since they are more stable when exposed to sunlight, and are less likely to be absorbed into the skin.
