Very different colour than pictured & described, toxic ingredient
I have been using 100% Pure since their launch and was a huge, huge fan but I have been very disappointed with many of the changes ; most products are no longer organic and a great many including the Lip Glazes contain 'avocado butter', a euphemism for hydrogenated oil aka toxic trans fat. I bought 4 shades of this product and Elderberry really upset me because neither the swatch nor the colour description is remotely accurate. There is no blue/purple undertone as the descriptor 'mauve' and the name Elderberry (elderberries are dark purple) implies. It is a bright medium pink with a coral undertone. I am extremely cool toned so this is unwearable for me. I also expected the colour to be a bit darker and less sheer, again based on the swatch and the fact that elderberries are a VERY dark purple. I will say that the Lip Glazes go on very smoothly, are extremely creamy, generally richly pigmented and apply very evenly, with no patchiness. I also love the silver bullet packaging, and the fact that my lips are stained lightly even after the product has worn off (and the lasting power is quite good considering how creamy the formula is). My favourite shade of those I've tried is definitely Cabernet. It is not as dark as the swatch, description, and name imply (as with all the LGs it seems), but it is still a beautiful, bright, slightly dark true red with the slightest blue undertone. It is my favourite shade of red lipstick so far, in fact.
Lip color works well with my yellow undertones. Very pretty color and not drying. Enjoying it ber much.
Finally I found something for everyday use, I love it.
Bitter tasting and the color was very faint
I was surprised at how awful this tasted. This was such a departure from the Pomegranate and semi matte lipsticks in terms of taste and color transfer. I liked or didn't mind the taste of the other products. This one had a lingering chemical bitter taste. The product didn't last long and there was no pigment left on my lips after the butters and oils dissolved into my lips. It was an epic fail and I gave it away. I'm leery of trying other lip glazes for fear of the same experience. Also, the color was so faint against my tan skin, black hair and brown eyes -- almost as if I was wearing clear gloss.
