Solar Power & LED Lighting

100% PURE products are made with sun power! Our headquarters boasts solar-powered roofs powered for the entire brand since 2014. It’s one of the most effective building tools for environmental sustainability. They produce enough energy to support 100% of the building’s power needs.

That produces about 235,000 kilowatt-hours per year, preventing about 170 metric tons of carbon dioxide from being emitted through the utility company. That’s the equivalent of removing 33 cars from the roads or planting 4,400 trees.

100% PURE is also embracing sustainability at our new state-of-the-art fulfillment center. Our ground-breaking facility’s design, which we’ll touch more or below, has been thoughtfully considered to ensure sustainability. The facility's low carbon footprint is a result of meticulous planning and execution. The use of energy-efficient LED lighting minimizes electrical consumption, while the natural airflow within the underground structure ensures a healthy, breathable atmosphere without the need for extensive mechanical ventilation systems.

Recycled Packaging

At 100% PURE, our commitment to the environment extends beyond the walls of our new sustainable facility. It is reflected in every aspect of our operations, notably in the choice of packaging materials. We understand that the impact of our products on the environment does not end at the point of sale; it carries through to how they are packaged and delivered.

100% PURE packaging is made from recycled materials – post-consumer recycled glass, plastic, tin, and paper. Otherwise, these materials would have compiled into our ever-growing landfills. Instead of creating more trash, we always package all our PURE formulas in packaging that was once a water bottle, an old coffee paper cup, an old beer bottle, and more!

When you order from our website, the boxes that carry your products are from 100% recycled paper. The popcorn that cushions to protect your item is 100% biodegradable (melts into corn starch when you add water to it). And when you finally open your package – everything you’re holding is from recycled materials: the outer box for our skincare is from recycled paper printed with soy/vegetable ink, the glass packaging is from recycled glass, and the formula inside is 100% biodegradable.

These innovative packing materials decompose naturally within a year, without the need for light or water, and leave no harmful residues behind. By incorporating these air pillows in our packaging, we ensure that our products are protected during transit while remaining mindful of our environmental impact.

Moving Away from Non-Sustainable Packing Peanuts: Recognizing the environmental challenges posed by traditional packing peanuts, we have phased them out in favor of more sustainable options. Non-Toxic Soy and Vegetable Inks for Printing

We use soy and vegetable inks on everything we print – from catalogs, labels, boxes, and ribbons. Even our makeup is all colored from fruit and vegetable pigments that are chock full of vitamins and antioxidants for healthy, glowing skin! We’re talking about nude makeup palettes to richly pigmented liquid lipsticks - all running on the power of plant pigments.

These natural fruit, vegetable, and soy inks are non-toxic and don’t pollute our environment or our oceans when washed down. We’re helping you avoid common colorants used in mainstream beauty products: synthetic dyes and iron oxides, both of which are associated with irritation, allergies, and breakouts.

Our Donations to TREES for the Future & Tree Planting

One of our most impactful partnerships has been with Trees for the Future (TREES), a non-profit tree donation program created by Dave and Grace Deppner. The Deppners served as volunteers in the Philippines in the early 1970s and witnessed the damage that irresponsible land management and deforestation had on not only natural ecosystems but on local communities.

By 1989, Trees for the Future was incorporated as a public charity and has since facilitated the planting of over 160 million trees on the continent of Africa. This program also provides education and resources to farmers by helping them grow more food and build a sustainable future. Unlike traditional warehouses, ours is partially underground, taking advantage of the earth's natural insulating properties. This unique design ensures a minimalistic impact on the landscape while providing an optimal environment for storing our products.

This represents an innovative approach to repurposing and revitalizing land. This underground marvel boasts a consistent, naturally maintained climate. At approximately 85 feet below the surface at its entry and delving further to 185 feet, the facility uses the earth itself to maintain a steady temperature and humidity level. This natural climate control is not just energy efficient; it also provides the perfect conditions for preserving the purity and efficacy of our products.
